Cambrils School is a semi-private Special Education center that enrolls students with intellectual disabilities from ages 3 to 22. Its offerings include Special Early Childhood Education, starting at age 3; Compulsory Basic Education (EBO); Transition Workshops for young people aged 16 to 22, focusing on curricular and labor skills for adult life; and a Special Professional Program in Computer Science. It is an inclusive, individualized, comprehensive, and regulated education.
The educational project of the center is developed alongside families and aims to enhance each student's talent in their academic, human, and Christian dimensions. The school encourages parental involvement in their children's education and their participation in the daily life of the center. Among the values it promotes are solidarity, respect, justice, and honesty, within a Christian vision of the person, as well as a culture of effort and perseverance. It supports students in discovering and developing their own qualities at their level, learning to manage success and frustration, and acquiring a global and intercultural view of the world. The center also offers speech therapy sessions and promotes student participation in activities such as First Communions, in addition to facilitating professional internship experiences in their environment.
Cambrils is part of the Arenales Educational Network and adopts the IAM (Innovation, Autonomy, and Mentoring) model of competencies and values. In the Innovation axis, technology is integrated into the classroom through an initiative with iPads and a mobile learning digital curriculum plan at all stages. Autonomy is developed through skills such as public speaking, leadership capacity, emotional and creative thinking, and first aid. Mentoring is realized through personal tutoring between teacher and student aimed at self-awareness, social skills, and self-esteem. The center also has the House System Program, which promotes values such as effort, courage, strength, and determination.
Tuition is free in the state-funded stages. The school may ask for voluntary contributions and charge for services such as lunch.
