Humanes

IES Humanes is a public secondary school located in Humanes de Madrid. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and its offerings are complemented by a medium-level vocational training (FP) cycle in Nursing Auxiliary Care. Teaching is conducted in Spanish, with the presence of English and French in the center's activities.

The institute has departments of English and Music, which jointly organize activities such as the English Talent Show gala. Among its own initiatives are the school radio Onda H, with its podcasts, and Hueco de la Escalera 4.0, the center's digital newspaper. IES has launched a robotic school garden, and its students participate in robotics competitions such as Robocampeones. Throughout the year, literary contests, reading promotion competitions, meetings with authors, awareness workshops, and theatrical performances are held, in addition to environmental activities and outings to places like the Amazonia park or the Villacastora hostel. Students in 4th year of ESO, 2nd year of Bachillerato, and vocational training celebrate their corresponding graduation ceremonies.

The center participates in programs such as Erasmus+ and Global Classroom, and has a virtual classroom and the Roble platform for family access. It also develops a digitalization plan, the Refuerza educational reinforcement program, and the inclusive playground project during recess.
