Utmar

Escola Utmar is a private center that offers Llar d'infants (first cycle of Early Childhood Education), second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education. It is defined as a family-oriented school open to the community, located between the neighborhoods of Can Vidalet and Pubilla Cases. It has two buildings. Its educational project proposes a comprehensive education aimed at future challenges, integrating new technologies, innovation in work methods, cooperative learning, multilingualism, and emotional and values education.

In the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, the school supports children from early ages through an active methodology that caters to each child's developmental stage. Play is the foundation of learning; classrooms are organized into microspaces for multiple intelligences and manipulative materials are used. Linguistic development is worked on through praxies, stories, and an introduction to phonological awareness, along with emotional well-being and psychomotricity. Introduction to English is conducted in small groups twice a week. In the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, systematic learning processes are progressively intensified, with project work, work corners, symbolic play, phonological awareness, literacy, manipulative mathematics, emotional education, English learning in small groups, and psychomotricity, as well as digital resources in classrooms. In Primary Education, the aim is to achieve basic competencies, and in Secondary Education, the personal autonomy of students is developed.

Regarding services, the center offers reception, dining, extracurricular activities, and summer camps, as well as school transport. The center works with Spanish, Catalan, and English.
