Fep Sant Jaume

Escola Sant Jaume de la FEP is a Catalan educational center located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, with roots in the neighborhoods of Collblanc and la Torrassa. Its governing body is the Fundació d'Escoles Parroquials, and it presents itself as the heir to a long pedagogical tradition and commitment to the social environment of the city.

Its educational proposal covers from early childhood education to Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), that is, the stages of early childhood education, Primary, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato, with Spanish and Catalan as languages. The center defines it as integral, since in addition to working on autonomy habits, it considers diversity as an enriching element in personal growth, and innovative, in the sense that it continuously sets new improvement challenges.

The educational project places students as protagonists of their effort and learning, which develops through exploration, experimentation, and their own experiences, and in which they also learn to coexist and relate with peers and teachers. The school incorporates new technologies and relies on the development of new projects and the continuous training of the teaching staff. The educational community consists of around 800 students, their families, and the center's staff.
