Escola Serra Major - ZER L'Aglà

Escola Serra Major is a public center located in La Vilella Baixa that is part of the ZER l'Aglà. It offers early childhood education, both in its first cycle (0-3 years) and in the second (3-6 years), as well as primary education (6-12 years). The vehicular language of the center is Catalan.

Throughout the school year, the center develops its own educational projects, such as the project "The Wonderful World", in which the students of the initial cycle work on content about different continents and their fauna, leading to a souvenir exhibition. The upper cycle students carry out plastic arts projects where they express their personal vision of art. The center also opens its doors to families and people from the community to share their experiences around the world through conferences.

The natural environment plays a significant role in school activities: outings to the natural park are organized, and the environment in Toll Palanca is analyzed twice a year. Other activities include observing a solar eclipse and making the traditional mona at the school.
