Escola del Montgoi - ZER Poblet

Escola del Montgoi is part of ZER Poblet, a grouping of rural public schools along with Escola de Blancafort and Escola Mare de Déu dels Torrents de Vimbodí i Poblet. It is a public center that provides Early Childhood Education (first cycle, from 0 to 3 years, and second cycle, from 3 to 6 years) and Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years), with Catalan as the vehicular language.

The educational project of ZER is structured around meaningful learning, fostering critical thinking, and adapting to changes, within the framework of an inclusive school that promotes initiative, effort, group cohesion, and collaborative work. The center guides students towards autonomy and emotional stability, with the ability to respect the environment and contribute positively to society. The motto that summarizes this line of work is "Aprenem dins i fora de l'aula" (we learn inside and outside the classroom).

Throughout the school year, ZER develops a joint interdisciplinary project in which the three schools participate. Among the activities carried out are ZER camps, outings to the environment, and environmental education initiatives, such as participation in a conservation and improvement project for rivers through citizen participation. Intergenerational activities and research projects are also carried out, which have led to exhibitions at the Museu Comarcal de la Conca de Barberà.
