Escola Els Alocs

Escola Els Alocs is a public school in Vilassar de Mar that provides early childhood and primary education. Teaching is conducted in Catalan and Spanish. The center offers a midday space service and has a school library, and the educational community participates through the AFA and the School Council, which is renewed by voting from families.

The educational project of the center organizes learning around flexibility, autonomy, self-awareness, motivation, and conversation. The teaching staff works on co-teaching and participates in training on gender and sex education, on support for students with ASD and behavioral disorders, and in the use of communication facilitation tools such as Grid 3.

Students engage in musical activities — with creation through GarageBand and percussion —, literary activities — with a reading club, literary labs, and a podcast — and philosophy, participating in a philosophy festival. The center has green representatives who review the bird feeders and nesting boxes in the playground and investigate the plastics generated during lunch, and organizes workshops and activities in the midday space. Proposals with families are also scheduled, such as story readings in classrooms and musical performances for early childhood and first cycle students.
