CRA ROSA CHACEL

CRA Rosa Chacel is a Public Rural School located in the north of the province of Burgos, in the municipality of Valle de Valdebezana. It integrates two localities, Pedrosa de Valdeporres and Soncillo, where the headquarters and management of the center are located. It offers the Spanish curriculum in early childhood education (second cycle, ages 3-6) and primary education (ages 6-12), with Spanish as the language of instruction. It provides a cafeteria service and school transportation in its two localities; the cafeteria is managed by an external company.

The school schedule is distributed from 10:00 to 13:15 and from 15:00 to 17:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, it ends at 14:00, and that afternoon is reserved for cycle meetings, staff meetings, and school council. The staff includes teachers for early childhood and primary education, specialists in Music Education, Therapeutic Pedagogy, and Religion, and receives support from the psychopedagogical team from Villarcayo. Among its services are a library, school cafeteria, and virtual secretary, and it has an AMPA.

The center develops complementary activities and its own projects, such as the podcast Radio CRA en la nevera, the research project Bajo Tierra, a center project in Pedrosa de Valdeporres, and a comic about the Cantabrian Wars created by primary education students. It also participates in the II meeting El Mundo Rural en Femenino and has educational programs, a TIC Plan, and an educational project.
