San Francisco De Asís

San Francisco de Asís School is a Christian semi-private school in Valladolid that educates from the Franciscan charism. It belongs to the Order of the Conventual Franciscan Friars and was founded in 1967. It covers all educational stages, from the Hakuna Matata Nursery School, for ages 0 to 3, to High School, at 18 years old. Its educational style is based on Christian principles and the Franciscan charism, aiming for the integral formation of the person.

The center has digital certification for its work in integrating ICT in educational, organizational, and technological dimensions. It employs project-based learning, which seeks to make students more autonomous and acquire concepts through organized research. Among its inter-stage projects are the Reader Sponsors Project and the Fairies Project. It also develops early stimulation, with stimuli that promote development and neurological maturation; the ASSI Project, focused on the foundations of literacy learning; and the Bridge Project, which specifies activities and methodologies to provide continuity for students between Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. In Early Childhood Education, collaboration between family and school is encouraged through workshops within the classroom.

The Secondary Education stage aims for students to acquire the basic elements of culture in its humanistic, artistic, scientific-technological, and motor aspects, consolidate study habits, work habits, and healthy living, prepare for further studies, and learn to be good citizens. It works on the coexistence commission, peer mediation, language immersions, and The Big Challenge. The center offers extracurricular activities that include workshops with students in the afternoon and the La Victoria Sports Club. It also has the San Francisco de Asís Language School (SFA), a preparatory center and official venue for Cambridge exams.
