JESUS ARAMBURU

CEIPS Jesús Aramburu is a public school in Valdetorres de Jarama that offers Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education. The teaching activity is organized according to the school calendar of the Community of Madrid: the school year starts in September, with the beginning of Early Childhood and Primary stages on September 7 and Secondary on September 8. The school operates in Spanish and offers English instruction, as well as lunch and early morning services.

The school has two buildings with different schedules. In the Early Childhood and Primary building, the school hours are from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with early morning service from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, lunch from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and a support and accompaniment program from Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In the Secondary building, the hours are from 8:15 AM to 2:15 PM.

The school has a School Council, whose renewal in the parent sector is carried out through a process that includes a draw and the establishment of the Electoral Board, the publication of the electoral census and its claims, the presentation and proclamation of candidacies, the voting, and the final constitution of the body. Additionally, the school facilitates the request for documentation and the transfer certificate to another center, which can be submitted electronically or in person.

The school offers extracurricular activities such as skating, paddle tennis, futsal, aikido, multi-sport, rhythmic gymnastics, and English, conducted on its premises except for skating and paddle tennis, which are held at the corresponding facility. The Valdetorres de Jarama City Council participates in the aid program for conducting extracurricular activities in public schools and the opening of centers on non-school days, and also organizes reconciliation activities for the afternoons of June and a sports day.
