Ciudad De Columbia

CEIPS Ciudad de Columbia is a public school in Tres Cantos that offers Early Childhood, Primary, and Compulsory Secondary Education. Its offerings expanded to include the first cycle of ESO starting from the 2025/26 school year, at which point it was renamed CEIPS. The center is defined as public, bilingual, inclusive, technological, and sports-oriented, with projects focusing on well-being and theater, in addition to bilingualism.

Its name comes from the twinning that Tres Cantos has maintained since 1990 with the American city of Columbia. The center began its journey in the 1991/92 school year to meet the educational demand in the northern area of Tres Cantos, during a period of growth for the municipality. In the 1996/97 school year, a gymnasium was added, a spacious facility intended for physical and sports activities both during and outside of school hours. The center also has a sports complex.

Regarding services, it has a school cafeteria, with menus published each month along with adapted versions for allergies. The AMPA organizes extracurricular activities and participates in initiatives such as the Cultural Week contest, which the center programs each year. Other activities include Grandparents' Day. The center provides families with information about textbooks and materials for each course, the school calendar, entry and exit times, and the dates of general meetings, and communicates calls for school breakfast assistance, schooling aid, cafeteria scholarships, and scholarships and aid for students with specific educational support needs. The working languages are Spanish and English.
