Alto Jarama

IES Alto Jarama is a public educational center located in Torrelaguna, in the Community of Madrid, that has been training individuals for over sixty years. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP) programs, and its project is structured around four pillars: educate, learn, coexist, and grow. The center defines itself as a public service open to the entire community and maintains among its hallmarks vocation, innovation, commitment, and empathy, with the participation of students, families, institutions, and companies.

In the field of vocational training, it offers a Medium Degree in Microcomputer Systems and Networks and a Higher Degree in Computer Systems Administration, both within the area of Computer Science. It also provides a Higher Degree in Dental Hygiene, a Medium Degree in Nursing Assistant, and Basic Vocational Training in Forest Exploitation.

Among its services and facilities, it has a cafeteria and school transport routes, and it has an AMPA. The center develops activities such as cultural days and open house events, organizes the graduation of its students from Bachillerato and vocational training programs, and participates in reforestation projects. It also provides information on textbooks, scholarships, the ACCEDE Plan, the school calendar, and a job bank, and uses the Roble platform as a communication tool with families.
