Nuestra Señora Del Pilar

CEIPSO Nuestra Señora del Pilar is a public center in Torrejón de Velasco that offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle), Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education. The conversion of the Infant and Primary school into CEIPSO was authorized and published in the BOCM, which allowed the extension of its educational project to the Secondary stage.

The center has a library, sports hall, football field, gym, playground, and children's park, and offers dining services, school transport, and extracurricular activities. Teaching is conducted in Spanish. To facilitate family reconciliation, it has extended hours services: "Los primeros del cole," with a monitor and breakfast from 07:30 hours and a later entry period, and "Las meriendas del cole," a playroom until 17:00 hours where students can do their homework and participate in games and activities, with a snack option.

Among its projects, the center has incorporated a school climbing wall, linked to its commitment to sports as a source of learning and healthy habits, and has launched a radio project, "onda 3.12," selected by the Community of Madrid within the "voces del aula" program, which includes the provision of technical equipment for recording and broadcasting. Additionally, it activates an action plan against heat waves during educational and complementary activities. The educational community participates through the AMPA, which prepares the proposal for extracurricular activities, and the center supports families in managing scholarships for students with specific educational support needs.
