Uno De Mayo

C.E.I.P. Uno de Mayo is a public educational center located in Torrejón de Ardoz. It offers Early Childhood Education, both in its first cycle (0-3 years) and in the second (3-6 years), as well as Primary Education (6-12 years). Among its facilities, it has a library, gym, computer room, and sports center, and provides services such as a school cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities. The vehicular language is Spanish.

The center informs families about various aids and programs. Regarding the cafeteria, the service is automatically renewed each year unless families communicate their withdrawal. Additionally, the center manages and disseminates individualized aids for school transport and school cafeteria scholarships, as well as scholarships and aids for students with specific educational support needs.

As for materials, the center participates in the ACCEDE program for textbook lending, which includes English (student book, not the activity book), Mathematics, Language, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences; in 1st and 2nd grades, activity booklets are not lent. On the other hand, the center is developing a project to promote outdoor learning activities, equipping the playgrounds with rest areas and spaces that will provide shade over time, and incorporating elements such as meeting points with tree stumps, a cabin, and vines and trellises, in which 5th and 6th-grade students have participated in the creation.
