El Buen Gobernador

CEPA El Buen Gobernador is a public education center for adults in the Community of Madrid, located in Torrejón de Ardoz. Its educational offerings include Secondary Education for Adults, Initial Education, and Spanish for Foreigners, along with preparation courses for access to Higher Vocational Training and for university access for those over 25 and 45 years old. It also includes workshops in English and Computer Science.

The center also offers a Basic Vocational Training Cycle in Agro-gardening and Floral Compositions, belonging to the Agrarian professional family and lasting two years, which allows obtaining the ESO degree simultaneously. The training prepares individuals for the establishment, maintenance, and conservation of gardens, parks, and green areas, the production of plants and the maintenance of nurseries, as well as the creation of bouquets, centerpieces, and floral arrangements, the safe use of tools, machinery, and irrigation systems, and the application of sustainability techniques, occupational risk prevention, and environmental protection. It is aimed at individuals over 17 years old who do not have a Vocational Training degree or complete secondary education. The methodology is predominantly practical, with workshops, activities in green spaces, and a training period in companies in the sector. Its professional outcomes include gardening assistant, nursery worker, florist assistant, agricultural laborer, and park and garden maintenance worker, and allow for further training in a Medium Vocational Training Cycle.

The center develops an Erasmus+ project and participates in the Regional Plan against drugs in the Community of Madrid, and has the radio Radio CEPA Buen Gobernador. Its offerings are co-financed by the European Social Fund.
