Escola Antoni Roig

Escola Antoni Roig is a public school in Torredembarra. It is a centenary institution with over 130 years of history: until June 1996, it occupied the building of the Patronat, a construction promoted by its founder, Antoni Roig i Copons (1817-1885), an indiano who allocated part of his fortune to create a public, secular, and mixed school. The center provides early childhood education and primary education and declares as its hallmark an education full of stimuli, experiences, and knowledge that contribute to the integral development of the person.

Among its projects, it develops 'Artistes del Temps', an artistic education project in which each year focuses on a specific period so that students understand how art evolves as a reflection of societies. The Milla Diària is a physical activity that students from 2nd to 6th grade can perform in the playground from Tuesday to Friday before class, aiming to improve physical condition, well-being, and academic performance. The center participates in the Erasmus+ program, within which students have represented the play 'El Petit Príncep' combining language learning in Catalan and English. It has also conducted exchanges with the Sa Torre school in Manacor, 6th-grade camps in Pallars Sobirà, and a STEAM project with the University of Deusto and the Rovira i Virgili University. Among the center's activities are the Jocs Florals and art work in early childhood education, with proposals such as the dark classroom.

The center has a dining service and reception service, as well as AFA. Its digital strategy includes the use of the Dinantia platform.
