Escola Espígol - ZER Riu Ondara

Escola Espígol is a public center that is part of the ZER Riu Ondara, a rural school grouping that shares a project among the municipalities of Barbens and Tornabous. The center offers Early Childhood Education, both in its first cycle (0-3 years) and in the second cycle (3-6 years), as well as Primary Education (6-12 years). The vehicular language is Catalan.

The educational project of the center includes level-based learning proposals in literacy, with activities adapted to the rhythm and developmental moment of each child. In Early Childhood Education, projects and activities such as robotics with Tale-bot, experiments, artistic expression, and storytelling sessions are carried out. In Primary Education, students work with Lego Spike Essential and Prime programming and robotics kits during BITS sessions. The center also organizes external workshops, such as the one on solar eclipses, and participates in ZER meetings to foster a love for reading.

Among the center's practices, relaxed entries stand out, transforming the start of the day into a calm space with different proposals prepared for the students. The school celebrates end-of-stage events, such as the delivery of diplomas to sixth-grade students, and organizes end-of-year meetings between Early Childhood and Primary students of the ZER.
