Tecnos

Tecnos is a Catalan cooperative located in Terrassa. It offers early childhood education (ages 3 to 6), primary education (ages 6 to 12), compulsory secondary education (ages 12 to 16), and Bachillerato (ages 16 to 18). Additionally, it has the first cycle of early childhood education (0-3 years) and follows the American Curriculum. Among its services are a music school, language school, sports activities, and a library. The languages taught are Catalan, Spanish, and English, with Catalan being the vehicular language of learning.

The educational project focuses on the students, promoting initiative, good work habits, and skills for autonomous learning. It encourages critical and respectful spirit, communication and trust, as well as teamwork and cooperation, avoiding competitiveness and valuing personal progress and effort. The center is guided by effort, perseverance, energy, affection, enthusiasm, and respect, aiming for continuous improvement based on the balance between innovation and experience. In the early childhood stage, the child is the protagonist, with learning spaces that stimulate autonomy and initiative, and mixed-age groups (3, 4, and 5 years). There is a psychology department for early detection and attention, and a speech therapist who monitors the students. A healthy breakfast based on fruit brought from home is also promoted.

The center carries out a welcoming and familiarization process for families and children, which includes a prior meeting with the tutor before the start of the course. Projects such as mentoring between younger and older students, and the musical project MUSDESONS are developed. Pre-registration for Bachillerato remains open continuously. The school offers visits to its facilities throughout the year by appointment and a virtual tour.
