Llar D'infants Petit Mon

La Llar d'Infants Petit Mon is a private early childhood education center located in Terrassa. It offers the first cycle of early childhood education (0-3 years) and the second cycle (3-6 years). The center was reopened by a group of entrepreneurs with training and experience in this educational stage, with the intention of providing children a safe and welcoming place where they feel at home. They aim for the little ones to quickly recognize the space as their own, which contributes to gaining security and autonomy, two aspects they consider fundamental at this stage.

Regarding the educational proposal, work is done in a globalized manner, integrating different areas. Music is present daily through popular songs, listening activities, and instruments. In the pianists' class (4-12 months), the treasure basket is used, an exploratory game with objects of various materials, colors, shapes, and sizes that develops eye-hand coordination. Later, heuristic play is introduced, which stimulates exploration, experimentation, and imagination. Symbolic play is also carried out, where children imitate actions from everyday life, developing creative thinking and helping them resolve conflicts. Psychomotricity is worked on once a week to develop motor skills. Stories are used to work on attention and imagination. Worksheets are not used; instead, observation, manipulation, and experimentation activities are carried out, promoting autonomous discovery based on the curiosity and interest of the children. Free play is very important, as it helps them share, communicate, reach agreements, wait, and choose, thus favoring their autonomy and socialization.
