Egara

Liceo Egara is a private semi-concerted educational center by the Generalitat de Catalunya, located in the east of Terrassa, between the neighborhoods of Plaça Catalunya-Escola Industrial and Vallparadís, in district I. Founded in 1970, it has two buildings and offers stages of llar d'infants (0-3), early childhood education (3-6, with courses P3, P4, and P5), primary education, and ESO. The center states that its goal is to provide an educational option for families and promote the academic and personal growth of children for their integration into society, and is currently expanding facilities and educational offerings to adapt to new professional and social needs.

In the pedagogical field, it applies active methodologies and a project that combines learning through corners and workshops, phonological awareness for literacy, manipulative mathematics, psychomotricity, and emotional education. English is introduced from early childhood, adapted to age. Inclusion and diversity are addressed, accompanying each child according to their needs. The facilities include bright classrooms, a large playground with areas differentiated by age, outdoor space for free play, symbolic and language play corners, and technological resources such as digital boards and tablets. Habits, autonomy, and clear routines are worked on, with close tutoring for families. The teaching team is stable and undergoes continuous training and pedagogical updating. The llar d'infants and the parvulari work in a coordinated manner to facilitate the transition to I3.

The center's services include a cafeteria, childcare for early childhood and primary, extracurricular activities, and the Clickedu platform. The school hours are from 9:00 to 16:30, with morning care service from 7:30 to 18:00. The second cycle of early childhood education (P3, P4, and P5) is free thanks to the educational concert. The center has school transport and offers teaching in Catalan, Spanish, and English. Regular outings to the nearby environment of Terrassa are also organized.
