Llar D'infants Baobab-Lestonnac

La Llar d'Infants Baobab-Lestonnac is part of the Col·legi Lestonnac l'Ensenyança de Tarragona, an educational center with a long history in the city and belonging to the Companyia de Maria N.S. The school covers various educational stages: from the nursery (first cycle of Early Childhood Education, 0-3 years) and the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years), to Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, Dual Baccalaureate, and International Baccalaureate, in addition to a higher-level vocational training cycle in Early Childhood Education and a PAP training course.

The educational project of the center promotes language learning — Catalan, Spanish, English, and German — with special attention to English, as well as the use of new technologies in the classroom. Among the services offered are the cafeteria, breakfasts, the reception service, the welcome classroom, supervised study in the afternoons, lockers, the school ID, books, lab coats and sportswear, and a summer camp. Extracurricular activities are also offered.

In the Early Childhood stage, the center works on projects, a globalizing methodology that starts from the interests of the students and fosters creativity, critical thinking, and research. Flexible learning spaces are used, with play and movement as key elements in these early ages, present in the environments, workshops, psychomotricity, swimming, and recess. Supporting children in their emotional and learning growth is a hallmark of the center, and families actively participate in the education of the students.
