About the school
The Estela Foundation for Disability is the entity that owns the center and manages various resources for the care of people with disabilities in Tarragona. Among them is the Escola Estela, a special education school that offers education to students aged 3 to 21, with a capacity of up to 80 places.
Alongside the school, the foundation has a residential home for people over 18 years old, with 24 residential places; an Occupational Therapy Service, with up to 88 occupational places for people over 18 years old; and an Employment Insertion Service, with up to 28 insertion places, also for those over 18 years old.
Escola Estela develops complementary activities and participates in cultural and educational initiatives. Among its projects is a regulation and calm space for students with ASD, as well as participation in the Transvers poetry festival and in the event of the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace (DENIP) in Tarragona. The foundation has also promoted projects of canotherapy and leisure activities, and collaborates with other entities to share its educational experience.
