Escola Bonavista

Escola Joan XXIII is an educational center located in the Bonavista neighborhood of Tarragona. It offers early childhood education (llar d'infants), second cycle of early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP), with both intermediate and higher-level training cycles. The center provides a cafeteria service, school transport, and extracurricular activities, as well as a morning reception service.

In the first cycle of early childhood education, the educational proposal is organized around learning environments: students build their own learning through play, research, and interaction with peers, while the adult acts as a guide and observer. All spaces in the center are considered educational, and the teaching team designs proposals that encompass areas such as science, art, music, and social studies, among others.

The center develops its own projects such as NEXUM, an interdisciplinary learning experience that connects students from all stages, where upper-year students prepare and lead activities for the younger ones. It also participates in foreign language projects such as Read, Walk and Fun, aimed at ESO students and focused on learning English and discovering the city. The vocational training at the center also participates in events on sustainability, eco-design, and digital manufacturing. The center has its own digital strategy and uses platforms like Clickedu and Moodle.
