Centro De Educación Especial San Pelayo

The Centro de Educación Especial San Pelayo is a semi-private educational center located in Sevilla, in the San Pablo-Santa Justa district. It serves students with special educational needs and organizes its educational offerings into two stages: Basic Compulsory Education (FBO) and Training Programs for Transition to Adult and Work Life (PFTVAL). The FBO stage is structured in cycles, with tutors and educational technical assistants accompanying the students. In the PFTVAL stage, workshops in Administration and Management, Ceramics and Glass, Wood, Furniture and Cork, and Agriculture are developed, with tutors and workshop teachers.

The center has a multidisciplinary team that provides specialized services. The Guidance Department advises the governing bodies and the educational community and coordinates with external institutions. The Physiotherapy service assesses and treats motor conditions, working on coordination, balance, mobility, and personal autonomy. The Social Worker facilitates the connection between the school, family, and social environments, manages social resources, and attends to vulnerable settings. The Speech Therapy service, with three departments, is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of language disorders, voice, myofunctional disorders, and swallowing, through specific classrooms and individual or small group attention, using alternative and augmentative communication systems.

Additionally, the center has administration, reception, concierge, maintenance, cleaning, and kitchen services, which includes the cafeteria service.
