Escola Pau Claris

Escola Pau Claris is a public educational center in La Seu d'Urgell. It offers the second cycle of early childhood education and primary education, the latter organized into initial, middle, and upper cycles. It presents itself as a Catalan, secular, open, and inclusive school, linked to the environment and with a participatory and democratic management model. Among its objectives are to form critical and autonomous individuals, educate in values such as solidarity, peace, democracy, and respect for the environment, and contribute to each student developing their abilities.

The center has a cafeteria service, AMPA, and a gym. It develops the Escola Nova 21 program, aimed at reviewing and updating learning practices, evaluation, and the organization of the center, as well as the Formigues cooperatives project, focused on solving and creating cooperative challenges shared with other schools. Within the framework of the Catalan Sports Plan, it offers extracurricular sports activities such as skating, psychomotricity, dance, Nordic walking, outdoor sports initiation, athletics, basketball, football, and sports games.

It also promotes a balanced and healthy diet by distributing fruit for breakfast and the INFADIMED program in early childhood education, and organizes the Bibliopati, which brings the library to the playground. The upper cycle students participate in a student assembly, and those in fifth and sixth grades mentor the younger ones. Walks are also carried out around La Seu d'Urgell and activities in the playground, such as traditional and popular games on Thursdays and Zumba sessions on Fridays.
