Escola Matagalls

Escola Matagalls is a public educational center in Santa Maria de Palautordera (Barcelona). It offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, with teaching conducted in Catalan and Spanish. The center provides a school cafeteria and after-school care, as well as a library.

Among the activities that complement its educational project is the swimming pool, which takes place in the I5 levels, first and second grades of Primary. The center maintains a school radio, Ràdio Matagalls, in which students from different courses participate, and conducts an environmental eco-audit carried out by fourth-grade students to reflect on possible improvements. It also promotes art projects, such as one dedicated to a Catalan artist in first grade, and activities like the school garden and camps. On Fridays, the playground is made available for scooters, skates, and bicycles. The parents' association (AFA) offers activities, resources, and services. The center publishes information about the school calendar, schedules, necessary materials for each level, services, and informational meetings for families.
