CEIP JUAN ARENCIBIA SOSA

The center offers Early Childhood Education, in its second cycle (from 3 to 6 years), and Primary Education (from 6 to 12 years). It is a public center located in the municipality of Santa María de Guía de Gran Canaria.

The center has a cafeteria service and conducts its activities in Spanish.

The school celebrates the Day of the Canary Islands, with dances, theater plays, traditional games, and music. It also organizes a solidarity race in commemoration of the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace and a year-end party that includes a Talent Show.

Students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade of Primary Education participate in an outing to the natural environment of Lomo Jurgón. Activities include interpretive hiking, orientation workshops, treasure hunts, and night gatherings.

The 6th grade Primary groups conduct a cheese tasting workshop promoted by the Primary Sector department. The activity combines tasting with a theoretical part about processes such as pasteurization and the use of rennet.

The center has the support of AMPA Samsofi and families in organizing these initiatives. The solidarity race is organized for the benefit of the NGO Save the Children.
