Escola Les Palmeres

Escola Les Palmeres is a public center for early childhood and primary education located in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. It offers the first and second cycle of Early Childhood Education and the Primary stage, with Catalan and Spanish as languages. The center presents itself as a school that welcomes, nurtures, and teaches in a close-knit environment.

The educational project places the child at the center of decisions and recognizes them as the protagonist of their own learning, respecting their holistic way of developing and learning and the different rhythms of the stage. The work is organized in educational contexts based on meaningful, functional, and contextualized situations. Among its methodological approaches are environments and project-based work, as well as the calaixets and psychomotricity. The school operates with two lines and two reference tutors per group, and has teachers for students with special educational needs, support teachers, and a Primary English specialist who works with the I5 students. The Early Childhood course follows the school calendar, from September to June.

In terms of services, it has a school cafeteria, transportation, morning and afternoon care, extended hours, and extracurricular activities. The school hours are divided between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM. The center maintains blogs for Early Childhood and communication channels with families, organizes open house days, and publishes information about the pre-registration and enrollment process. Among its initiatives are the Pintem el Pati project and activities such as water activities in Can Zam or outings to the surroundings.
