Escola El Turonet

Escola El Turonet is a public center for early childhood and primary education in Sant Quirze del Vallès. It offers the second cycle of early childhood education and the primary stage, in Catalan and Spanish. It has a cafeteria service and a school library, and it has a parent association (AFA) integrated into the educational community.

Throughout the school year, the center develops various activities and projects. It organizes a cultural week, which in one of its editions was dedicated to cinema, with proposals such as dubbing, reports, or silent film experiments. The sixth-grade students participate in an international project in collaboration with a Nepalese entity, where they practice English and share experiences with children from Nepal. There are also philosophy sessions, clay workshops, and in early childhood education, symbolic play spaces like "minimons." The center also works on bullying prevention through specific training.

Students go on outings to learn about the environment, such as the farmhouses in the municipality, and participate in cultural and musical activities in the locality, including a choral concert, a body percussion activity, and a dance showcase involving several schools in the municipality. The center also promotes a radio program and literary contests.
