Paidos

Paidos is a private educational cooperative in Bages, located in Sant Fruitós de Bages, with a history of 50 years. It offers early childhood education, infant education (3-6 years), primary education (6-12 years), and secondary education (12-16 years). It is defined as a non-confessional, pluralistic, and Catalan teachers' cooperative that promotes innovation in the training of its students and remains attentive to new educational trends. Its location facilitates access for students from both Sant Fruitós de Bages and neighboring towns.

The educational project of the center is based on cooperative work, learning with new technologies, the study of foreign languages from an early age, and sports practice to reinforce teamwork, cooperation, self-esteem, and promote a healthy life. Other identity traits include emotional education and psychopedagogical support for students. The center holds the Segell Smart, an educational innovation seal that certifies it carries out an educational project with pedagogically relevant teaching methodologies. The vehicular languages are Catalan, Spanish, and English.

In early childhood education, an emotional bond is created so that children feel accompanied and secure, and time is allowed for the child to interact with their peers and educators. In infant education, students are supported in building meaningful learning by relating their experiences, prior knowledge, and new content. Individualized treatment is respected according to maturation rhythms and types of intelligence, and importance is given to habits and routines to achieve progressive personal autonomy. The methodology is socialized and communal, valuing cooperative work and emotions, and different strategies are employed such as free play, educational playgrounds, symbolic play environments and corners, rule-based games, and project work. In primary education, competencies for personal and social development are provided, promoting cooperative work, emotional education, solidarity, freedom, equality, critical thinking, commitment, and effort. In secondary education, the center is committed to training individuals with the competencies and skills necessary to face and adapt to the constant changes of a global world.
