Llar D'infants El Tambor

La Llar d'Infants El Tambor is a public early childhood education center for the first cycle (0-3 years) located in the Falguera neighborhood of Sant Feliu de Llobregat. It serves children from 4 months to 3 years old. Its origins date back to 1973, when it was established in another location in the municipality driven by a cooperative of teachers. The current building was constructed starting in 1997 in the Falguera neighborhood.

The center is defined as an educational community where educators, families, children, cleaning staff, kitchen and maintenance personnel, as well as interns and accompanying family members coexist daily. The school has six spaces open to the gardens, where children are supported following the principles of living education: respect for each child in their vital process, the ability to do, think, and decide, and the discovery of the world through small things and relationships with others. Play corners and environments are offered to generate experiences and learn. The school is open every day for families to stay, spend time, and participate in daily life and play proposals in the spaces or environments.

Shared reflections and the training of the professional team improve the intervention in supporting children. Through the participation of members of the School Council (families, teachers, and a representative from the town hall), progress is made in the Educational Project of the Center. The community grows with projects that nurture emotional relationships by giving time and space, such as Open Gardens for families and the creation of various materials for the school when necessary. The management team welcomes families and invites them to tour the school.
