Escola Gaziel

Escola Gaziel is a public center for early childhood and primary education located in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Inaugurated in 1937, it has welcomed a large number of students and citizens from the municipality throughout its history, adapting to the needs of each era while maintaining its social and educational values. It offers early childhood education, with levels I3, I4, and I5, and primary education, from first to sixth grade, in Spanish and Catalan.

The center promotes values such as respect for the planet, welcoming people, sports and health, play and learning, and diversity and inclusion. In its daily activities, it incorporates active methodologies based on challenges, projects, experiential learning, flipped learning, and collaborative learning environments, with special attention to positive relationships among people.

It offers a cafeteria service and has bus stops nearby. It is supported by educational services such as the EAP, which conducts early detection and psychopedagogical evaluation and advises teachers; the SIEI, for intensive individualized educational support; and the hearing and language service, focused on detection and improvement work. Among its projects are a bullying prevention program, the Catalan Sports Plan, individualized tutoring, the Escola Verda environmental awareness and waste management project, a performing arts project, the PROA+ program, outings and camps, an interdisciplinary project, English Day, and traditional festivals. The center has a parents' association.
