Institut Escola Catalunya

Institut Escola Catalunya is a public center located in Sant Cugat del Vallès. It provides early childhood education, primary education, and compulsory secondary education, and its activities are conducted in Catalan and Spanish.

The center has a school council and a family association (AFA), and participates in the Pla Educatiu d'Entorn of Sant Cugat del Vallès. It uses educational digital platforms for management and communication, and recommends the use of a planner for contact with tutors.

Throughout the school year, students develop various projects. The 5th-grade students organize a blood donation day as part of a service-learning project (APS) in collaboration with the Banc de Sang i Teixits. In secondary education, interdisciplinary projects are carried out, such as one on climate change, global warming, and the greenhouse effect, and another on building a catapult, both in 2nd year of secondary education. Archaeology workshops are also conducted, such as the one that took place with 1st-year secondary students. The center also organizes cultural outings, such as the visit of 4th-year secondary students to the air raid shelter in La Garriga, and receives visits from organizations, such as the Comissió Catalana d'Acció pel Refugi (CCAR) with 2nd-year secondary students.
