Escola Josep Maria Ciurana

Escola Josep Maria Ciurana is a public educational center in Sant Boi de Llobregat whose project is structured around three axes: coexist, cooperate, and learn. The students are organized into three communities —Petita, Mitjana, and Gran— covering early childhood education and primary education. The center offers the second cycle of early childhood education (3-6 years) and the primary stage (6-12 years), with Spanish and Catalan as languages, and has a school meal service. It also has an AFA, the association of families of students.

Music plays a significant role in the life of the center. Throughout the year, the Christmas concert, spring concert, and the feast of Santa Cecilia are celebrated, where students are invited to share their music with their peers. Other traditions include carnival, the castañada, and the music day concert. During the castañada, the center organizes game stations related to autumn and groups students from the entire school into mixed groups, in addition to receiving the visit of the castañeras.

The carnival is themed each year around the center's transversal axis; in one of the editions, this axis focused on caring for the planet, with class names dedicated to endangered animals and costumes inspired by them. Families receive information about the course through informative letters and have access to the school calendar.
