San Martin De Tours

CEIP San Martín de Tours is a publicly owned center located in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, with one class per year group. It offers early childhood education, starting from the age of 3, and primary education, and is part of the Bilingual Education program of the Community of Madrid, with bilingual instruction up to sixth grade of primary.

The school provides a school meal service, which must be renewed at the beginning of each school year in September, even for those who used it the previous year. The administration office is open in person from Monday to Friday in the morning from 9:00 to 14:00. Among its lines of work are school mediation, the use of new technologies in the classroom through digital whiteboards, and bilingualism, along with family participation in the center's activities. It also participates in international projects such as eTwinning, Erasmus, and pen-pals, which aim to provide real use of English to students and teachers.

In the admission process, the School Council established as a complementary criterion the allocation of points to students registered in San Martín de Valdeiglesias. The center publishes information for families on its website regarding textbooks and materials for each course, the school calendar, school entry and exit times, and the start-of-year circular. It also organizes open house days and publishes its own magazine.
