Jorge Guillen

C.E.I.P. Jorge Guillén is a public school located in San Martín de la Vega that offers Early Childhood Education (first and second cycle) and Primary Education, with Spanish as the language of instruction and a cafeteria service.

Among its identity markers, the school aims to develop in students the abilities that allow them to discover and acquire knowledge in all aspects of science, as a basis for the harmonious development of their personality. It also seeks to equip students with the necessary skills to integrate into society as active members who contribute to its development and improvement. Furthermore, it aims to promote attitudes that allow for interaction and participation in group activities, demonstrating solidarity and tolerance while rejecting all forms of discrimination based on sex, social class, beliefs, race, or other individual, social, and cultural characteristics. The school wants to establish fluid relationships among all sectors of the educational community — students, families, teachers, among others — with the goal of improving the comprehensive education of students.

Regarding its projection in the environment, the school defines itself as an open space to all organizations and institutions that provide activities or initiatives that impact the improvement of human quality and student learning, based on the idea that their education as individuals transcends the school context and therefore requires the participation of other community sectors.

The school hours are from 9:00 to 14:00, and from 9:00 to 13:00 in June and September. The school remains open with extended hours from 7:00 to 18:00: between 7:00 and 9:00, the Amanecer Project program is developed; from 14:00 to 16:00, the cafeteria service operates, and from 16:00 to 18:00, organized activities by the AMPA take place.
