Pedro Martinez Gavito

CEPA Pedro Martínez Gavito is a public center dedicated exclusively to the education of adults. It operates at a regional level and is under the Ministry of Education and Research of the Community of Madrid. Its main headquarters is located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial and it also has municipal classrooms distributed throughout its area of operation in El Escorial, Robledo de Chavela, Santa María de la Alameda, Zarzalejo, Fresnedillas de la Oliva, and Valdemaqueda. The ESO and CFGB teachings it offers are publicly funded and co-financed by the European Union.

Since the 2016-2017 academic year, the center has been developing Erasmus+ projects with the aim of advancing its educational internationalization through the exchange of experiences with other countries in Europe.

CEPA also offers digital training courses subsidized by the European Union, within the Network of Digital Training Centers. These courses last for 30 hours and are conducted over a trimester; the center provides students with the digital training classroom and laptops for use during classes, and participants can utilize the other services offered by the center. The final grade can be pass, fail, or abandonment, and those who do not achieve a pass can re-enroll in the next call. When demand exceeds available spots, selection is made based on preferential criteria: former students of the Network who did not obtain a pass, individuals over 55 years old, people between 18 and 55 years old who are outside the educational and training system, and individuals over 18 years old who can benefit from an improvement in their digital training. Courses are offered in morning and afternoon shifts both in San Lorenzo de El Escorial and in Robledo de Chavela.
