CRA VÍA DE LA PLATA

The center is publicly owned.

The center provides second cycle Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years). Instruction is given in Spanish.

The CRA is composed of three localities: San Cristóbal de Entreviñas, which is the main locality, Barcial del Barco, and Castrogonzalo. They are located in the northwest of the province of Zamora, in the region of Benavente and the Valleys, on both banks of the Esla River.

The communication between the localities is done via the N-610, the N-630, and the Northwest highway A-6. The distance from the main locality ranges from 13 km for the closest to 18 km for the farthest.

The CRA was created by the Central Administration of the M.E.C. at the proposal of the Provincial Planning Department of Zamora on February 18, 1994. It began operating on September 1 of the same year.

The original name was CRA San Cristóbal de Entreviñas, but in the year 2000, at the proposal of the School Council and after consulting the involved Town Halls, it was renamed Vía de la Plata.
