CPDEM CANTERBURY SCHOOL

Canterbury School is a private institution that has been providing international British education since 1972. Its offerings include early childhood education, primary education, secondary education, and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). The school is authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as an IB World School.

The educational project of the school is based on immersion in English, with a significant emphasis on learning the Spanish language and literature, as well as Canary Island culture, and the incorporation of a third language starting at age 11. Its mission is to provide a British education that promotes high standards, progress, and equality of opportunity, and to develop autonomous and independent students through interdisciplinary studies in a tolerant and multicultural environment. The school's vision is to build a united educational community that fosters self-confidence, respect for others, and the ability to face challenges.

The school organizes its activities across several locations: Milton House for early childhood education; San Lorenzo for primary education, secondary education, and Bachillerato; and Maspalomas for early childhood education and primary education. Its services include a school menu, transportation, and a summer course in the early childhood education department. It also has a basketball program that allows students to balance sports practice with their studies.
