Institut Jonqueres

Institut Jonqueres is a public secondary school located in Sabadell. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with Spanish and Catalan as languages, and is defined as a school for everyone. It maintains a website where it publishes news, announcements, and notices directed at families, including information about the start-of-year presentations, classroom materials, and textbooks for the two Bachillerato courses, as well as information about school aids for purchasing materials and those aimed at students with specific educational support needs.

The center participates in initiatives linked to the social use of the Catalan language. Among them, it hosts the award ceremony for the Joan Oliver competition, a contest in the Catalan language that the Sabadell City Council awards to students in the city, and has received visits from representatives of the Llenguaferits project, whose aim is to advocate for the linguistic richness of the Països Catalans and develop activities around the social use of Catalan. Additionally, 4th ESO students from the institute have participated in the Monologue Competition, an activity that promotes the oral use of Catalan and brings together students from various secondary schools in Sabadell.

On the occasion of Sant Jordi, the departments of Languages, Foreign Languages, and Mathematics at the center organize an award ceremony, and the institute also celebrates an end-of-year party.
