Escola Arraona

Escola Arraona is a public center for Early Childhood and Primary Education located in the Merinals neighborhood of Sabadell. It is defined as a center of maximum complexity, situated at one end of the neighborhood and not in the city center, so its students mostly come from the surrounding area. It offers Early Childhood and Primary Education stages in Spanish and Catalan, and has a school lunch service.

The center declares itself secular, inclusive, and respectful of plurality, and highlights among its priorities the involvement of families, the preservation of equity, respect for the ideas and beliefs of students and families, and active engagement in the social environment. Its mission is to facilitate the integration of its students into society by providing them with basic tools, with special emphasis on linguistic competencies, and to foster social skills that allow them to value and accept the consequences of their actions.

Among its resources and activities are a resource bank, a proprietary digital strategy for the center, educational project documents, a psychomotricity room, a chess day as a year-end closure, the celebration of Sant Jordi with the creation of bookmarks alongside mentors, theatrical performances by students, and participation in the Festa del barri dels Merinals.
