Centre Escolar Empordà

Centre Escolar Empordà is a family cooperative active since 1973, located in Roses. It offers early childhood education (first cycle, from 0 to 3 years, and second cycle, from 3 to 6), Primary, compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18) — with an artistic modality — and vocational training (FP), both intermediate and higher levels. Specifically, it offers the CFGM in Commercial Activities and the CFGS in Marketing and Advertising, and follows an American curriculum.

In early childhood education, it has flexible hours, from 8:30 AM to 6 PM. In Primary, the morning schedule is from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon schedule from 3 PM to 5 PM, with extracurricular activities at noon and in the afternoon. The center develops a linguistic program linked to Erasmus and its own audiovisual project, Projecte Mèdia, in addition to other internationalization, innovation, and marine-related initiatives.

Its center project is structured around project-based learning, inter-level workshops — which bring together students from different courses — learning corners, and the work of multiple intelligences, aiming to foster cooperation, creativity, and collaboration. The identity of the center is defined as cooperative, committed, communicative, entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative, and it has renovated facilities.
