Escola Sant Roc - ZER Conca de Barberà

Escola Sant Roc is a public center located in Rocafort de Queralt that is part of the ZER Conca de Barberà, a grouping of rural schools along with the centers Antoni Tous, Sagrat Cor, and Valldemur. The center offers the second cycle of early childhood education (ages 3 to 6) and primary education (ages 6 to 12), with Catalan as the vehicular language.

The ZER organizes its educational project around several axes: the environment, understood as a space to know, root, appreciate, and care for; the students as protagonists and engines of learning; the teaching team, which combines efforts to advance together; values as the foundation of integral education; and families, considered essential active agents.

Throughout the school year, the ZER develops shared transversal projects among its schools, such as a radio project that connects activities, reading aloud linked to the Festival of Criminal Novels in Catalan, the Mostra de Teatre, and the Georeferenciem la Conca de Barberà project, which combines theater and knowledge of the territory. Cultural days, trips to school farms, and camps are also organized, as well as shared training activities for the faculty.
