Maria Cortina

Escola Maria Cortina is a private center in Reus that has been educating since 1899, with over 125 years of history in the city. It is a single-line school that provides early childhood education, primary education, and compulsory secondary education, and articulates a continuous and coordinated project from ages 3 to 16, with individualized follow-up at each stage.

Its model combines tradition and innovation and places students at the center of the learning process, with active methodology and personalized attention. Among its principles are respect for each student's developmental pace, close support, academic guidance, and education in values such as tolerance, respect, freedom, and solidarity, aimed at the full development of students' personalities and abilities. In secondary education, guidance is added to face post-compulsory studies. Linguistically, it works with Catalan, Spanish, and English from the early years, and incorporates French starting from secondary education. It also promotes creativity, critical thinking, and personal responsibility.

The center offers a set of services aimed at family and work-life balance: morning reception, dining service, library, extracurricular activities, swimming, and summer camp.
