Escola General Prim

Escola General Prim is a public educational center in Reus. It provides early childhood education in its two cycles (0-3 and 3-6 years) and primary education (6-12 years), organizing students into three communities: small, medium, and large. Among its services are the school cafeteria, library, and extracurricular activities, and it has a parent association (AMPA). The working languages are Spanish and Catalan. The school hours are from 9 AM to 1 PM, and the cafeteria extends until 3:30 PM.

The center has its own digital strategy and participates in international projects such as Erasmus+ and eTwinning, where students collaborate with schools from other European countries and work in English. Its teaching approach is based on projects and learning situations, which the different classes present to families at the Fira de l'#ADNPrim. Proposals such as English corners are also carried out.

Throughout the school year, activities such as a collaborative mural with artist Joan Turu, the sixth-grade graduation ceremony, the end-of-year scavenger hunt, and the musical farewell from the Music area are developed. In third grade, a learning situation about road safety is worked on; fourth and fifth grades participate in the role-play activity Missió Tàrraco in Tarragona; fifth grade participates in TEDEd Student Talks and an eTwinning project in English, and their delegates attend the Consell Municipal d'Infants de Reus. In early childhood, the I3 students develop a project about fruits.
