Llar D'infants Del Pont De Suert

La Llar d'infants 'Blauet' is a municipal-owned center authorized by the Department of Education that provides the first cycle of early childhood education. The vehicular language is Catalan. Among its priorities are the development of movement and body control, the first manifestations of language and communication, basic guidelines for coexistence and social relationships, and the discovery of the immediate environment.

The center aims for children to feel at home, in a welcoming and family-like atmosphere, while also being fun and educational. The facilities are characterized by natural light and contact with nature. The pedagogical approach is active: it places the child at the center of their learning process, and the educator acts as a guide, generating discovery situations. Learning occurs through play, stories, experimentation, manipulation, and exploration, attending to emotions and feelings, and respecting the rhythms and development of each child. Hygiene habits, nutrition — with healthy breakfast — and rest are also worked on. Education in values and emotions is considered the foundation for self-esteem, and natural and recycled materials are incorporated, some made by the educational team itself. Play is used to promote socialization, values, language, imagination, and the learning of new concepts within a globalized approach.

Continuous communication with families is maintained, understood as the basis for a shared education that provides emotional security. Joint activities with families are organized around celebrations and traditions. The educational team accompanies and listens to the children. As complementary services, the center offers morning care, dining services, summer activities, and extracurricular activities; it also has a school transport service.
