Escola Montpalau

Escola Montpalau is a public educational center in Pineda de Mar, rooted in the Poble Nou neighborhood. It offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, the latter organized into Initial, Medium, and Upper cycles. The center operates in Spanish and Catalan and provides a school meal service, as well as a digital strategy for the center. It has an AFA and maintains close collaboration with families and the educational community.

Its pedagogical project is oriented towards inclusive education, quality, and values, and advocates for equal opportunities, inclusion, and social cohesion. It promotes participation, respect, and freedom of expression, and works with innovative and competency-based methodologies linked to the environment and Catalan culture, with the aim of promoting meaningful, creative, and participatory learning.

Among the activities it develops, sixth-grade students participate in the Diada de la Lectura en Voz Alta, held at the Auditori de Pineda de Mar, and the center takes part in the Cantada Escolar de Pineda de Mar, which has reached its twentieth edition. Furthermore, the school has been selected to participate in a temporary program to promote guidance and social perspectives in educational centers, lasting two academic years. It also organizes open house days to showcase its educational project and offers Catalan classes for families, with conversation, reading, and writing sessions led by the center's integration technician.
