RIO ALBERCHE

CEIP Río Alberche is a public school located in the municipality of Pelayos de la Presa, set in a natural environment about 60 kilometers from the city of Madrid. It offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, with specialist teachers, and Primary Education. For the Secondary stage, it is affiliated with IES Pedro de Tolosa in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, and its support service for enrollment is located in the DAT SUR. Since the 2021/2022 school year, it has been a preferred center for enrolling students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a measure adopted when, after evaluation by the Specific Team, it is considered the most suitable response for these students.

The center occupies two buildings within the same premises, one designated for Early Childhood and the other for Primary, with separate entrances and exits for each educational stage. It has tutorial classrooms for each level, equipped with ICT materials, and specific spaces such as the computer lab, music room, therapeutic pedagogy and speech therapy room, link classroom, compensatory classroom, and the ASD classroom, known as "Aula Colores". Additionally, it has a Primary Education library and an Early Childhood library, a psychomotricity classroom, a gymnasium, and a playground for Early Childhood separate from that of Primary, multi-sport courts, and a Primary playground, along with access to the municipality's covered sports center.

The school hours are from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM from October to May; in September and June, it is reduced by one hour. The cafeteria operates from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The school also offers a breakfast service "Primeros del Cole", from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, which is managed by the town hall.
