Simone Veil

IES Simone Veil is a public secondary school in Paracuellos de Jarama that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with instruction in Spanish and English, and also processes enrollment in intermediate vocational training (FP) programs. The school participates in the student admission process regulated by the Community of Madrid, which includes the online submission of applications through the Virtual Secretary and, exceptionally, in-person submission, and has an ACCEDE program. It maintains a guidance blog aimed at students and publishes information about textbooks, scholarships, and the start of the school year calendar.

The facilities are organized in a building with 30 classrooms for ESO and Bachillerato spread over two floors and three areas, four laboratories (Biology, Geology, Physics, and Chemistry), and specialized classrooms that include four computer rooms, a Technology and Robotics workshop, two Drawing classrooms, and one Music classroom, in addition to four breakout classrooms. The school has a library, an entrepreneurship classroom, departments, a teachers' lounge, offices, and a meeting room with families. Additional equipment includes a gym, elevator, basketball and football fields, outdoor gardens, and lockers distributed throughout the school. All classrooms are equipped with chalkboards and smart screens, and the school is part of the Connected Schools network. Heating combines aerothermal energy with thermostats in the north and south wings and natural gas in the central area; lighting is regulated by motion sensors, and the school has photovoltaic panels for electricity generation.

Among the school's projects are Los recreos del Veil, Transforma tu insti en la Red Planea, a STEM project, the Simbiontes Project, and the Xcelence Innovation Project.
