Institut Escola Vila-Romà

Institut Escola Vila-romà is a public school in Palamós that offers Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education (ESO). The center is defined as a space committed to the environment, families, health, and the comprehensive learning of students. Among its services, it includes a school cafeteria, extracurricular activities, and a parents' association (AFA).

Throughout the school year, various activities and projects are developed. Notably, there is an interdisciplinary project dedicated to the Universe that links all stages, from Early Childhood to ESO, and also inspires celebrations such as Carnival. Primary students perform plays and participate in projects such as those dedicated to simple and compound machines. In secondary education, a music group formed by students from 3rd and 4th ESO and faculty members performs under the name Side by Side. Swimming sessions for 3rd Primary and a Catalan bitlles tournament that brings together the school community are also scheduled, in addition to a snow trip for 2nd and 3rd ESO students.

The center organizes outings and stays outside the classroom, such as the visit of 3-year-old Early Childhood students to a farm, the exploration of Estany de Banyoles by 4-year-old Early Childhood students, and a camp in a summer house for various courses of Early Childhood and Primary. 6th Primary students take a final stage trip, and the younger ones participate in playful and coexistence days. The school year concludes with internal farewell celebrations and activities related to reading and traditional festivals, such as Sant Jordi.
